Specialty areas:
Since the very start in 1987, SF-Control Oy has always had a strong focus on safety when developing LevelDatic remote tank level, water ingress detection and draft measuring systems. This means that our all our LevelDatic systems must be reliable and always provide accurate online information in normal every day operation as well as in possible distress situations.
The officers and crew must always be sure that their LevelDatic system is working, - there shall never be any doubt about this. All systems with sensors are tested at our factory before dispatching them to shipyards or ships. During commissioning everything is checked and verified. In addition, there are fatal and system alarms in LevelDatic so in case there is a problem or malfunction, this is detected.
All existing LevelDatic systems are continuously developed and up-dated to meet with the latest requirements and customer needs. New LevelDatic systems and applications are developed based on technology push and customer pull. Recent new system releases include the new LevelDatic 80S which compliments the LevelDatic 100S, and the LevelDatic WIM for bulk carrier water ingress detection and monitoring. A special Stand-alone system for container ships and bulk carriers has also been developed and delivered to ships.
We closely monitor ship design developments and requirements, and together with shipyards and shipowners develop new special and customized solutions for their particular needs. This includes also tailor-made LevelDatic retrofit installations.
Key Expertise and Experienced Professionals
The SF-Control crew consists of very experienced professionals in marine safety, ship design and automation, level gauging, sensor technology and in quality control, as well as freshly graduated automation engineers.
We have more than 20 years experience in ship automation design and installation from actually working for shipyards, almost 20 years working for classification societies and marine safety, and of course outstanding experience in tank level gauging systems technology.
In order to maintain our leading position in tank level gauging technology, we continuously train and educate our crew in new technology and new systems, as well as recruit new experts. We also co-operate extensively with universities and research institutions.
